Phyllis has over 15 years of corporate experience in human resource management in multinational companies in the Greater China region. She has worked with global corporations in insurance, financial services, property holdings, professional services and semi-government sectors and is now a full time management trainer and HR consultant. She has more than 5 years of freelance experience as a trainer providing a wider range of topics to both corporate and public sectors. She is a passionate trainer who creates a positive impact with individuals to help them love what they do.  

 

Phyllis started her HR career with Hong Kong Tourist Association – now known as the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and later expanded her experience in HR with diverse sectors. Her experience as a HR professional and trainer was further established and developed during this time performing a full spectrum of HR functions. During her career as an HR professional Phyllis played a strategic business partner role in many of the companies. She helped to cultivate a learning culture and was fully involved in designing and delivered training for different levels of staff. She was also instrumental in introducing talent development and succession planning programmes for the high potentials.  Her last corporate experience was with CACIB where she worked in the capacity of the Vice President Human Resource (Talent Management and Development). During this time she was instrumental in designing and developing development programmes for staff and leaders. 


               
Over the past years as a personal trainer, she has conducted many workshops in the areas of leadership development, personal development, customer service, time management, team building, interviewing skills, counselling skills etc. As a part time instructor at the HK University of Science & Technology she delivered many career development workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This coupled with her counselling experience has brought more meaning to her delivery as a professional trainer.   

 

Phyllis holds an MIC in Counselling from the Monash University, Australia and an MSc in Training and HR Management from the University of Leicester, UK. She is also a registered counsellor from Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association. Her professional qualifications include certified practitioner with the following instruments:

 -  Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) Step I and II
 -  Neuro-Linguistic Programming – NLP
