Michael is a seasoned HR professional with more than 20 years experience in human resources and corporate management. He has worked with major MNCs throughout Greater China and Asia Pacific with a range of industries including chemicals, FMCG, banking, logistics, manufacturing and energy. Michael works with clients across the management spectrum ranging from middle to senior executives and C-suite level leaders.  

 

Michael has held many senior HR leadership roles in companies such as ABN AMRO Bank N.V, Kerry Group, Spectrum Worldwide, Lee Hecht Harrison. He has worked with HR teams in Singapore, China, Korea, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand and is comfortable operating in multicultural work environments.  As a corporate HR leader, he spent significant amount of time coaching and developing people, driving talent identification and development programmes, designing people strategies, restructuring and designing integration process to support acquisitions, developing HR strategies and policies to manage transformation of change. 

 

Over the past 20 years, he has conducted leadership workshops for a wide variety of industries.  His areas of expertise include leadership development facilitation, talent assessment and development, change management, executive coaching and career coaching in the manufacturing, banking and financial services. He is a passionate facilitator cum advocate of leadership and inspires middle to senior managers to become great leaders and effective followers. At present he is an accredited associate-trainer with the Inspirational Development Group, UK and Turningpoint, France.  

 

Michael holds a Master of Education in Continuing Education (Training and Development) from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore. He further attained a post-graduate diploma in Training and Development from the Singapore Institute of Management. He is a certified practitioner of the following instruments and programmes:
