Managing Conflicts Using the TKI™

06 Jun 2018

Cameron Nott, Regional Master Trainer for the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument™ (TKI™) and Managing Director of CPP Asia Pacific, had a practical and interactive workshop with MDS alumni and clients at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce ( HKGCC ) on 28th May 2018.  Cameron has applied the TKI™ assessment on the topic of “Managing Conflicts”, a big challenge in the modern workplace.  He demonstrated how the knowledge of the TKI™ model will increase awareness of the five conflict-handling modes ( competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding and accommodating ) and enhance the ability to assess different conflict situations. By expanding the skills sets and choosing the most appropriate mode, it then leads to opportunity for constructive and win-win outcomes. The TKI™ is an excellent instrument to use in programmes for conflict resolution, negotiation, mediation, assertive communication, persuading and influencing.
